The Cleveland Hungarian Cultural Garden committee is holding an "Autumn Celebration" general meeting and appreciation dinner for all supporters in the community on Wednesday, November 12, 2008 from 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm. The dinner is being held in the St. Emeric church hall at 1860 West 22nd Street, Cleveland, OH 44113.
Starting at 6:30 pm, there will be an open meeting at which the committee members will give a financial report for the past year, detail fund raising related issues, talk about garden restoration plans and accomplishments, as well as discuss plans and solicit ideas for 2009.
Following the meeting, all are invited to a no-charge social and "potluck" dinner. Attendees are asked to bring a covered dish or a bottle of wine to share.
L. F. Somogyi will hold an encore presentation recapping his speech at the Rededication Ceremony, for those who missed it, and sharing some interesting insights about the Hungarian Cultural Garden. Everyone attending is asked to bring their memorabilia, including old photos, printed materials about the Garden, audio recordings, videos and any other items of interest. Information and items are sought for inclusion on this website for future reference.
